We're Planning a Wedding.... (not really)

Since Zoe has been going to school she has been telling me "I'm going to marry Dallin" a kid in her class. I would always ask her "what does Dallin say about this?" And she would say he doesn't know. Hahaha. He is a cute kid and he's super smart. All the girls like him. It's cute.
One day I got there early and peeked through the window on the door. Zoe and Dallin were playing on the sand table together. She looked up at me and gave the dirtiest look! She looked at me like a teenager with her boyfriend would look at me. It was like she was saying "MOM! Get out of here!" I laughed so hard!
So the other day I picked her up from school and she was so happy and giggly. I kept asking why she was so happy and she wouldn't answer me. Finally after a few minutes she tells me "I'm going to marry Dallin " I told her I already knew that. She then said "I told Dallin". Oh! I asked what he said and she said with a jump and a smile "he said yes!" The whole day everyone we came in contact with she told them the news.
Later that day we were at my sister's house and Zoe told her the big news. We all laughed and said our goodbyes. As we were leaving my sister told Zoe "have fun planning your wedding." And Zoe tells her "I'm planning the honeymoon!" Lmao! Omg! Where do kids get this stuff from?
She's getting so big!

Here is Dallin

Here is Zoe

Zoe's SEP report

I have been meaning to post this for a few weeks now. So Zoe had her first parent teacher conference in Nov and then in Feb. They test the kids before the conferences so you know where they are. I'm so proud of her! I will try to make this as un confusing as possible.

Oral language / vocabulary - 1st test she got 28, target score was 20
2nd test she got 34, target score was 35
Phonological & phonemic awareness - 1st test she got 3, target score was 3
2nd test she got 3, target score was 3
Alphabet knowledge - 1st test she got 1, target score was 3
2nd test she got 3, target score was 3
Pre-writing - 1st test she got 0, target score was 2
2nd test she got 3, target score was 4 (she missed a point because I taught her to write her "0" different then they want them to write them, I taught her clock wise and they want them to write them counter clock wise. I'm upset because she wrote a "0" so what's the difference?)
Book knowledge / print awareness - 1st test she got 3, target score was 3
2nd test she got 4, target score was 4
Math / numerancy concepts - 1st test she got 5, target score was 4
2nd test she got 8, target score was 7
Social-emotional skills - 1st test she got 4, target score was 4
2nd test she got 7, target score was 6
Motor skills - 1st test she got 4, target score was 4
2nd test she got 5, target score was 5
Total - 1st total she got 48, target total was 43
2nd total she got 67, target total was 67

I know the last test she missed 3 points because she wouldn't point out a few shapes that I know she knew and she wouldn't tear a piece of paper and I know she can. The teachers told me that this test is a snap shot in one day. So if the kids are having a bad a day or just one of those days, it will show on their scores. So I know she could have had a better score, she just didn't want to hahaha.
I'm beyond excited and proud of her! I never thought all the little games I played with her, all the little songs we sang together, everything I taught her would end up showing itself threw her. I love it, she's so smart!

Finally

So I failed my blog challenge! Oh well. Hahaha. Anyway, I finally got around to putting up my family pictures from this past fall. I didn't post everyone's because I don't know how they would feel about that. If you are not my friend on facebook let me know and I will have to post them on here. It's funny because even though you can't tell in the pictures, Patrick was crying all day! So I'm pretty happy that they were about to make him laugh and then get a picture of it. The people who did our photos were j5photography Justin and Mallory Workman. They were a lot of fun at the photo shoot. Look them up.

whats new

I know I'm super behind on my challenge. Since I have been sick and then my kids got sick, the last two weeks have been hard. So instead of doing 20 posts today, I'm going to start where I left off. But tomorrow.

Today I want to post about what's been up with us.

Yesterday we had another little nephew born!! He's a cutie! Well, we have only seen pictures. Since we are all sick we are staying away from the baby. I can't wait to hold him!

I also made him a crib set. First one I've ever made. Gotta say, I'm proud of it

Matt also helped me. It took us about 12 hours total to make it. It was a lot easier then I thought it would be. Also, my mom told me to buy a pattern just in case I got stuck, don't! All it said was cut 8 pieces of fabric this size and sew together. It was pointless. Oh well, lesson learned. Anyway, I love craftes!

I crotchet this blanket for him also.

My washer went out all the way on Sunday. There was nothing we could do. It sucked. So we went and bought a new one at sears. I like it! I hope this one lasts a long time.

I have always said my work is haunted. Yesterday just proved it to me. If you didn't see my facebook post this is what happen. I am incharge of locking up the east gym at night. So I turned off the lights and locked all three doors. A little while later I was sweeping the stairs right infront of one of the gym's doors. There was a penny on the floor and it wouldn't go into the dust pan. I was being lazy and flicked it under the door, not my problem anymore lol. I left the area to sweep another hall. On my way back to the office I walked past the door and saw something on the floor. I walked past it and stopped, thought about what I just saw, and went back. There on the floor in the middle of the hall was the penny! No one was around, the building was closed and all that was there were us sweepers and everyone was cleaning their own areas. It really creeped me out.

Clonka is HUGE! He's around 30 pounds and triple his size! I love it! I love how he doesn't know how big he is. When he was little and I would sit on the floor he would come and curl up in my lap. Well now that he is huge, he still tries to. Lol! He is too big and doesn't fit but he still tries.

Day 20 challenge; the meaning behind your blog name.

Yes! I'm super, super behind! Lol! So I did them all in one day.

There is no meaning behind my blog name. We ARE the Dyson family. Lol.

Also, I never did get around to posting my family pictures. I will do it asap.

Day 19

Day 19 challenge; another picture of yourself.

Man!! This sux!

This one we are at a club. I'm on the left. One of my good friends, Jody, in the middle. And my sister in law Maciel on the right. We all had a blast that night! It's not the best picture of me, but I don't have a lot to pick from.

Day 15

Day 15 challenge; Something you don't leave the house without.

If you know me, you know it is my cell phone! If I drove to salt lake and had fergot it I would drive back home to get it. I have to have it with me, it's my life line! Plus, we don't have a land line. I use it to call, text, internet, pictures, video, and games. I love my phone. In fact I use it to blog!! Lol!

Day 14

Day 14 challenge; a tv show you are currently addicted to.

I can't say just one. Basically if it is on ID (investigation discovery) I HAVE TO WATCH IT! I love this channel. Disappeared, deadly women, stolen voices buried secrets, stalked, 48 hours, I almost got away with it, on the case with Paula zahn, dateline, ect ... I really like true crime. I have always wanted to get into crime scene investigations. Since I was a kid, before all the hipe. Maybe some day :-). So until then, I will watch these shows. Thank goodness for DVR.

Day 13

Day 13 challenge; your favorite musician and why.

To be honest, I don't have one favorite musician. I don't really like one more then the other. I have ones I hate, but that's about it. If they play on k-bull I love them! I'm country all the way, always have been. Now if you want to know which one I would run away with if he ever asked me to? Well now that's different! *sigh* Dierks Bently!

Ooooo! I'm going to have good dreams tonight! Lmao! I don't know if I like him more with long curly hair and unshaved or clean cut..... I guess it doesn't matter! I am not deleting these photos off my phone. ;-)

Day 12

Day 12 challenge; a photo of the town you live in.

Yep, late again. Lol.

I like this picture I found. :-) TOOELE!!!

Day 11

Day 11 challenge; what's in your makeup bag.

This is a good night to ask because I'm getting ready to go out!

Ok, a big and a small mirror, face lotion, hand lotion, tweezers, two bottles of base, two base sponges, eye liner, two cases of eye shadow, mascara, eye lash curler, lip gloss, basic instinct perfume, tissue, and q tips.

I should clean it out. Lol! I don't need the liner anymore, if you know me you know I have it tattooed on. I don't need two of everything in it. A few weeks ago I had all my hair stuff in it too. I had my Straightener, my jell, hair spray, and a brush. Lol. I guess I'm slowly cleaning it out.

Day 8

Day 8 challenge; a song to match your mood.

Well, I'm tired. I don't think I could find a song like that. So I will put a song I LOVE! Every time I hear this song it hits a cord inside me... love it! Almost everyone has a minute where they ask themselves what am I doing then something small makes you say duh!

Hello World by Lady Antebellum

Traffic crawls, cellphone calls,
Talk video screams at me,
But through my tinted window,
I see a little girl, rust red minivan,
She's got chocolate on her face,
Got little hands and she waves at me,
Well, Hello World
How ya been? Good to see you, my old friend.
Sometimes I feel, cold as steel,
Broken like I'm never gonna heal.
I see a light, a little hope, in a little girl.
Well, Hello World
Everyday I drive by a little white church,
It's got these little white crosses,
White angels in the yard.
Maybe I should stop on in, say a prayer,
maybe talk to God, like He is there.
oh, I know he's there, yeah I know he's there.
Well, Hello World
How ya been? Good to see you, my old friend.
Sometimes I feel as cold as steel and
Broken like I'm never gonna heal.
I see a light, a little grace, a little faith unfurled.
Hello World
Sometimes I forget what livings for and
I heave myself through my front door and
I breath it in, oh I'm home again.
I see my wife, little boy, little girl.
Hello World
Hello World
All the empty disappears, I remember why I'm here,
Just surrender and believe, I fall down on my knees.
Well, Hello World
Hello World
Hello World

Day 7

Day 7 challenge; your dream wedding.

This is easy... I had my dream wedding! I felt like a princess the whole day. Everyone had fun, including me! I loved that I had NO worries that whole day. I got the dress I always wanted, got married at a place that was a dream come true, and I married the greatest man I have ever met!

There are a few things I would change. First, I would have gotten married a year earlier so my grandma could have been there. Second, I would have told people to shove it and do things how I wanted. Third, I would include more family. Last, I wish it would have been warmer (the end of may had a freak snow shower on my wedding day!)

But still, I loved my wedding! The best part was to see Matt tear up as he watched me walk down the aisle! Awesome!!

I will have to load some pictures on another day, it's too late tonight.

This one is on our wedding day. We are in the anniversary inn in the Romeo and Juliet room.

This one is at my mom and dad's house the day of my bridel photo shoot.

Day 5 and Day 6

Day 5 challenge; a photo of yourself 2 years ago

This was taken soon after I found out I was pregnant with Patrick. Winter of 2008-2009. I'm holding Zoe and she is holding her cousin Ava. It was taken at my cousin's house. Oh, Zoe looks so little!

Yeah, I'm a day behind. We got home super late last night so I will combine today and yesterday.

Day 6 challenge; a photo of an animal you would like to keep as a pet.

I have always wanted a little octopus!! They are cute and smart. I just think it would awesome!!! Don't you?

Friday, January 14, 2011

Day 4

Day 4 challenge; your favorite photo of your best friend.

This is ONE of my favorites! I love how his eyes look in this one. Matt is my bestfriend. We do everything together! I wouldn't want it any other way!!! Love ya babe!

Day 3

Day 3 challenge; Your idea of the perfect first date.

This one is hard! First dates are always awkward and just weird. I remember Matt and mine first date, I didn't even know which guy I was on a date with at first. Haha! You never know what to do or what to talk about. Especially if you don't know the other person (which we didn't). There were things that swept me off my feet though, like how he always opened my doors. Plus, I haven't been on a first date in over 9 years!

So I guess my answer would be.... forget the first date! Lol! As long as it goes well enough for a second date, then that is perfect enough.

Day 2

Day 2 challenge: A photo of something you ate today.

I love this stuff! I eat it in a snack bag while running around in the morning. It's awesome dry!

Day 1

Day 1 challenge: a photo of yourself and a description of how your day was.

Well, as most of you know I am usually the one taking the photos. But here is one I have;

As for my day, here is how it went. FYI you'll probably find it boring.

I woke up around 7:30 to let the dogs out. Patrick woke up soon after and he woke up Zoe. I got them breakfast and milk. I put on a movie for them and sorted their laundry. I did a few loads of everyones laundry. Matt came home and we all visited. He took a bath and went to bed. I played with the kids and got them lunch. Soon after I got ready for work and put the kids down for a nap. I left for work around 2:45. Took 45 minutes to drive there. Worked until 6. Drove home, which took another 45 minutes. Picked up Matt and the kids and went to Walmart. Got home and got the kids ready for bed. (Matt fed the kids before we left). I got ready for bed while Matt got ready for work. Kissed Matt goodbye and now I'm in bed ready to fall asleep. :-)
That is how most of my days go. It's not glamorous or outrageous. But it's a perfect day for me, I love my life and wouldn't want it any other way.
Oh, one thing that happened today that super sucks. We have a big window over our front door. Today when Matt got home he looked up and noticed it is broke! That is going to be a lot of money to replace. Ugh! Matt is going to call our insurance and see if it is covered. It looks like either a bee-bee gun or someone threw something. Its not shattered it's just cracked all through it. Blah!
See you tomorrow. :-D

Our Neighbors.....

So today we had a little scare with our neighbors.
We really don't talk to them anymore but they are the ones who live across the street. Their dog and Amigo had puppies and that's where we got Flint.
We had just gottin home from the store and were unloading the bags when Matt notice our neighbor had went in his garage and started his truck. He owns a big Ford F150 diesel. And then he closed his garage. Hum. Matt came in and told me. So we started to try to come to a reason on why he would do that. Maybe he wanted to warm it up with out someone taking it. Maybe he didn't realize he shut the garage. Maybe, I don't know. Before we knew it it had been 20 minutes. I told Matt, "go over there or I'm calling 911!"
We sat there a minute longer. Matt finally went over and knocked on their door. Everyone was home, him, his wife, and two teenage daughters. Matt asked if he was ok. He responded yes. Matt told him that he was concerned. They talked for a minute and then the garage opened and Matt came home.
He told Matt he was warming his truck because he was leaving to the gym and got side tracked with a movie.
I told Matt I didn't believe him. Who does that? Who warms their truck up with the garage closed? We have been neighbors for at least 3 years and he has NEVER done that before!
I guess I'll never know what he was thinking today.
